Bardonecchia School Ski Trips
The Resort:
One of the original alpine resorts of the 20th century that has since been revamped for the 2006 Winter Olympics, Bardonecchia is a charming and authentic resort located in the Susa Valley on the French- Italian border.
Skiing in Bardonecchia:
There are 3 separate skiing areas – Colomion-Les Arnauds which connects to Melezet and Jafferau, with a free ski bus running from the centre to Jafferau. Lifts take you from Campo Smith at 1300m up to the highest point where you can ski above the tree line to take in the incredible views. The resort totals 100km of runs and the three separate areas allow skiing through forests, open snow fields, and views of the surrounding mountains in the Piedmont region. The slopes are also north-facing resulting in consistent snow coverage and conservation throughout the season creating magnificent slopes. At an impressive 2800m, the resort has a high altitude allowing for a variety of slopes from beginner (16 blue runs) to difficult (5 black runs) which means skiers of all abilities can progress quickly at this beautiful resort. On top of this, there are lots of other outstanding facilities including snowshoe excursions, bars and restaurants on the slopes, first aid assistance, and lockers for equipment to make travel around the resort more comfortable.
For Schools Because:
Bardonecchia is quieter than other resorts which means less queuing and maximum time skiing, ideal for large school groups. The combination of first-class ski and snowboard schools with the ability to hire any equipment needed makes Bardonecchia a perfect resort for groups of all abilities such as your next school trip.
Après Ski:
The resort’s snow park is perfect for other snow sports for those in your party that favour snowboarding or tobogganing over skiing. The town itself has a friendly and calm atmosphere that is perfect for school groups, whilst also boasting a range of après ski activities including bowling, swimming, and ice skating during the evenings or downtime.
